Ethnic Wooden Mask | Abelam

The ethnic mask with support is a handcrafted work by Curral da Cor inspired by traditional African masks. Both the sculpture of the wooden mask and the colorful artistic painting - specialties of the Prados-MG atelier from Minas Gerais - exhibit characteristics intrinsic to the cultures of the different African ethnic groups, highlighting the aesthetics of the ritualistic accessory as a differentiating element. By raising the mask on a fixed metal support, artisans from Minas Gerais highlight the artistic ensemble of the work of art in wood in interior decoration.
